Leadership at our ServicesAcolytes
Acolytes are an integral part of the Sunday service. They lead the procession with the cross and lighted candles. Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is a dedicated group of behind-the-scenes workers made up of two smaller groups, the Altar Guild and Flower Arrangers. The Altar Guild serves on a weekly basis. They are responsible for setting up of all worship services, housekeeping of the chancel, polishing silver and brass, and laundering the Altar Linens. We have lots of room for new members. Licensed Eucharistic Ministers
Licensed Eucharistic Ministers distribute the Eucharist at the communion rail during the Sunday service. Flower ArrangersThe Flower Arrangers work on a rotating basis preparing flower arrangements for the Sunday and holiday services. After Sunday services, they deliver these flowers to parishioners in hospitals, the sick at home and the bereaved as well as those parishioners who have special occasions to celebrate. Often the recipients of flowers are elder parishioners of St. Paul's who enjoy a chance to chat as much as they do the flowers. GreetersGreeters welcome us at each Sunday service and help direct and assist those new to our church. Lay Eucharistic Visitors
The Lay Eucharistic Visitor program continues to be a valued service by bringing communion on a regular basis to individuals who are unable to leave their homes. Our clergy bring All Saint's Day, Christmas and Easter communion to those who cannot get out, but appreciate the coverage the LEV's can provide for parishioners on a weekly basis. Lay Readers
One reader on a regular basis is available for the 8:00 AM service while two readers participate in the 10:00 AM service, some as readers and some as chalice bearers. UshersUshers assist people with the service bulletin, prayer book and hymnal, finding a comfortable seat and provide information about the location of the parish hall, restrooms, nursery, church school, etc. and help those with disabilities. Large print Books of Common Prayer are available. |
