Poor People's Campaign March on Washington

Poor People's Campaign Working Group invites all to join the June 18, 2022 Mass Poor People’s and Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly and Moral March on Washington. The event will be a generationally transformative and disruptive gathering of poor and low-wealth people, state leaders, faith communities, moral allies, unions and partnering organizations. It is not just a day of action. It is a declaration of an ongoing, committed moral movement to shift the moral narrative, build power, make real policies to fully address poverty and low wealth from the bottom up.

From the Diocesan Convention...

The 148th Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark was held on May 7th at Calvary Church in Summit. St Paul's was represented by delegates and clergy. The theme of the event was Hallelujah Anyhow. In the midst of all that is going on, the churches in our Diocese continued to do God's work in the world and to find gratitude for the blessings we have received. We may not have had the convention that we wanted with Covid still lurking around (two days, rather than one, etc.), but we went ahead and made the best of it. Old friends were seen, reports presented, elections to Diocesan offices conducted and business attended to. The message from the bishop in her sermon was that after Covid, the church as we knew it has irrevocably changed, and it is up to us to rebuild and reimagine the church of the future.

Sad news...

Congratulations to Brooks Wang!
